In a world of crazy couples and angsty teenagers, there are still gems. I had the perfect evening going to my brother’s baseball game and hanging out with my best friend and her boyfriend. Now, most of my friends have boyfriends, but whenever I hang out with those guys, I feel like the typical third wheel who should not be in the same room with them. And though I thought tonight would be like that, I was wrong. My best friend’s boyfriend is basically perfect for her. They are so similar, but so different…and it works. He was really nice to me (in a “I know you don’t mind, so I’m going to be sarcastic and tease you” kind of way), and the three of us didn’t even seem like a couple plus me. Also, I’d like to point out the fact that I had fun with a person who I’d barely talked to before, and I had a night that kind of felt like it was out of a movie. We went to a pizza place with our families, and my friend, her boyfriend, and I all a table in another part of the restaurant. We ate great food, and joked a lot. I guess I just want to remember this night for some reason. I think my best friend is happier than she’s been in a long time, and I’m pleased to say that I am too.
